Caretakers of Smallpox Hospital
Applications are invited from parried couples for this joint appointment determinable by one calendar months notice given by or to the Board.
Salaries – Husband £110 per annum and wife £56 per annum, together with residence (no accommodation for children), light, fuel, uniform, medical attendance, and war bonus allowances.
The persons appointed must be competent to act as Male Attendant ad Cook respectively, when the hospital is open and staffed for the treatment of patients, during which they will be also provided with rations and washing. The value of the emoluments attached to each salary for the purpose of contributory pension under the Local Government Superannuation Act, 1937, is £26 per annum. The appointment will be subject to the successful candidates passing satisfactory medical examinations as to physical fitness.
Candidates must be prepared to take up duty by not later than the 1st JUNE.
