Served in the 1st Battalion Royal West Kent Regiment. An Army Reservist who had served in Malta previously.   He had married Miss Bessie Hilda Thompson, daughter of Mr H Thompson of Farnborough, 3 years previously, and had 2 sons aged 1 and 2.   He was called up on 5th August 194; left for France the following Thursday.   The Bromley & District Times reported him missing 20th November 1914, and then first reported his death as Killed in Action in January 1915.   He died on 26th October 1914…
