Pam Preedy is a local historian and author who, after achieving her advanced diploma in Local Studies at the Department of Continuing Education at Rewley House, Oxford, set out on a project listing some of the 848 names on the Bromley Memorial at the top of Martin’s Hill Park in Bromley, Kent.
The project involved scouring the Bromley & District Times for the casualties of war between August 1914 to June 1918 and logging as much information about military personnel including soldiers, sailors, pilots and so on.
